Specialisations (p.9)

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Specialisations represent the skills the character has trained in. These define what the character has taken an interest in during their career prior to the adventure/ campaign start. The higher the dice, the better they are at that particular skill.

All Specialisations are associated with a particular Statistic and are written in the following format:

Example:

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”14906″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]A Sword [COM] shows that the Sword Specialisation is associated with the Combat Statistics. Therefore, the character would add their Specialisation Dice and Combat Dice to their Dice Pool.

If a character is not specialised in Sword, then that character would roll just their Combat Dice.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]A full list of Specialisations and their game effects are detailed under the Specialisations Section of this book on page 73.

Performing Tasks

Success at performing tasks is measured by rolling the gaming dice. Which dice you roll will depend upon your character’s Statistics or Specialisations. All Statistics and Specialisation checks are made against a difficulty dice. Again, which difficulty dice is rolled will depend on the difficulty of the task, sometimes an opponents Statistic or Specialisation. These are all explained in detail throughout these rules.

To be successful at a task, all you need to do is roll more than the difficulty dice.

Cooperative rolls

All participating characters roll their Dice Pool, see page 10 and 12.

  • Choose the highest of all the participating characters dice.
  • The target pool gains the groups Hindrance of 1 Level per character. See page 11.
  • The Maximum amount of assisting character permitted is equal to the original characters [SOC] Level.
