As part of this years, Challenge CORE series the GMD VIP Members requested a series of games from their favorite settings.
The latest of these is Lord of the Rings. So following on from a Middle Earth adventure I ran for them a few years back the party returned as members of the Company of Culthain a band of rangers who hunt the enemy across the North Western Middle Earth.

Ranger gathered Lofar, Karell, and Ulf. Together they made the arduous underwater journey down into Gul-Geldon.
Lofar gasping for air, only just made it coughing up a lung full of water, the p[arty decided to rest and recuperate for several hours before exploring the ancient Dwarven ruins.
Once the party recovered from exhaustion, they started to wander the ruins, awed by the magnificence of Dwarvish architecture they soon found a clue of a statue pointing towards a star that hovered above an archway.
Entering they came to a submerged room and down they went once more, with some convincing needed for Ronin. Thankful to find plenty of airspaces and that the rooms were not fully submerged, those who could not swim clung to the edges and dragged themselves around the room. Exploring each room they came to a huge chamber with a deep dark chasm, large bubbles rose from the darkness, they tried to swim around the cavern quietly but the company of Culthain was not skilled or suited to such terrain, and something stirred in the darkness beneath the water…
Racing for an exit a fell beast rose from the darkness eager for the feast that swam before it!
Drowning/Asphyxiation Rules tested once more!
Think I’ve nailed it, less rolls and smoother rules. A Swim check required to swim through the turbulant water to enter the tunnel followed by a Stamina [PHY] check to make it through the passgaeway into the ruins wihtout drowning!
