Degrees of Success [DoS] (p.13)
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The higher you roll, the better the outcome. A Degree of Success (DoS) is the amount a roll beats the opposing roll by.
Some tasks will give a bonus according to the DoS rolled.
The DoS equals the difference of the dice rolled. Compare both opposing results and subtract the lowest from the highest, this gives the DoS value.
- Normally, a simple highest wins result is all that is required; but sometimes, especially with attack rolls in combat, the DoS grants a Bonus Dice to another roll.
- The DoS Bonus Dice is equal to the nearest Dice Type, rounded up (see table below for a quick reference). Ignore DoS results of 1-2, because if the DoS is a 1 or 2 there is no Bonus Dice.
- However, if the DoS is 3+ then a DoS Bonus Dice is rolled as follows:
