The heroes after being received by the Elder of Rowanhold are to be imprisoned and have judgement dealt with them after the townsfolk discuss what to do with them.
But as they are about to be marched from the halls of the elder, the village is attacked by goblins led by a Warg.
The heroes defeat the goblins and Warg and a feast is held in their honour and all thoughts of imprisonment is forgotten.
The Fellowship then leave Rowanhold and head into Mirkwood to see King Bard.
